My Rental Spot today unveiled Property Map, an interactive visual command center that lets property managers see every unit across their portfolio in a single view. Click any unit on the map and instantly access tenant details, financials, maintenance history, messages, documents, and more — all without leaving the page.
Traditional property management software forces landlords to navigate through endless menus and separate screens to find basic information. Property Map eliminates that friction entirely. Whether you manage a 10-unit mobile home park or a 200-unit apartment complex, every unit and every data point is now one click away.
A Visual Command Center for Property Managers
Property Map replaces the traditional table-and-spreadsheet approach with an intuitive, spatial interface. Managers upload or create a map of their property — whether it's a mobile home park, apartment building, self-storage facility, or single-family portfolio — and every unit becomes a live, clickable element on that map.
Each unit is color-coded in real time to reflect its current status: green for paid, orange for vacant, red for unpaid. Indicator badges surface critical information at a glance — active maintenance tickets, unread messages, pending applications, expiring leases, and pet agreements — all without clicking a single thing.
One Click. Everything You Need.
Click any unit on the map and a detail panel opens immediately. No page loads, no navigation. The panel includes seven integrated tabs:
- Details: Tenant contact info, lease terms, renter score, pet information, parking assignments, and emergency contacts.
- Financial: Payment history, collection rates, YTD revenue, profit margins, comparable rent analysis, and rent adjustment recommendations.
- Maintenance: Open work orders, maintenance history, assigned vendors, costs, and scheduling — directly linked to the Communications Hub.
- Messages: Full conversation history with tenants, integrated with platform messaging and email notifications.
- Applications: For vacant units, view all pending applications with Renter Scores, TransUnion screening results, and one-click approval workflows.
- Documents: Leases, inspection reports, insurance certificates, move-in checklists, and any uploaded files associated with the unit.
- Notes: Internal notes from your team — maintenance observations, showing feedback, and property management memos.
Built for Every Property Type
Property Map isn't limited to a single layout. The customizable canvas supports any property type. Mobile home parks can lay out lots along internal roads. Apartment buildings can show floor-by-floor unit grids. Mixed-use properties can separate commercial and residential spaces. An edit mode lets managers drag, resize, and arrange units to match their real-world property layout exactly.
Smart Filtering and Search
The left sidebar provides instant filtering by status, making it easy to isolate exactly the units that need attention. Filter by vacant units only, show just those with unpaid balances, or surface all units with active maintenance requests. A universal search bar lets managers find specific tenants, unit numbers, or even search criteria like "units with pets" or "leases expiring this month."
"Property Map was inspired by our own experience managing mobile home parks and self-storage facilities. We were tired of clicking through five different screens just to answer a simple question about a unit. Now, everything is right there on the map. One click, done."
Right-Click Context Menus
For power users, right-clicking any unit reveals a context menu with instant actions: add a renter, send a message, create a work order, schedule a showing, record a payment, add a note, or schedule an inspection. These actions execute immediately from the map without opening a single separate page.
Integrated with Everything
Property Map doesn't exist in isolation. It's deeply connected to every other feature on the platform — Renter Scores, TransUnion screening, Stripe payment processing, the Communications Hub, document management, maintenance tracking, and financial reporting. When a tenant pays rent through My Rental Spot, their unit on the map updates to green in real time. When a work order is submitted, the maintenance badge appears instantly.
Availability
Property Map is available now to all My Rental Spot users at no additional cost. The feature supports unlimited properties and unlimited units. Property managers can start building their maps immediately from the dashboard, and existing property data auto-populates into the map view.
