Digital Lease Signing
eSignature Guide

Send leases for electronic signature, track signing status, and store completed documents — all paperless, legally binding, and secure.

Send a Lease for Signing

How to prepare and send a lease for digital signature.

1

Create or Upload the Lease

Build a lease using the Lease Builder or upload your own PDF. Ensure all terms are finalized before sending.

2

Add Signature Fields

The system automatically places signature fields for each party. For custom documents, drag and drop signature, initial, and date fields where needed.

3

Send for Signing

Click "Send for Signing". Each signer receives an email with a secure link to review and sign the document.

4

Track Signing Status

Monitor real-time status: Sent, Viewed, Partially Signed, or Completed. Send reminders to signers who haven't signed.

5

Countersign & Complete

After the tenant signs, you'll be notified to countersign. Once all parties sign, the fully executed lease is automatically stored and shared.

Sign Your Lease

How the signing experience works when your PM sends you a lease.

1

Receive the Signing Link

You'll get an email from My Rental Spot with a secure link to review your lease. You can also find it in your Renter Dashboard → Documents.

2

Review the Lease

Read through each section carefully. The viewer highlights all fields that need your attention — signatures, initials, and dates.

3

Verify Your Identity

Before signing, you'll verify your identity by confirming your email address and entering a verification code sent to your phone or email.

4

Sign Electronically

Click each signature field to apply your electronic signature. You can type your name, draw your signature, or upload an image.

5

Download Your Copy

Once all parties sign, you receive a completed copy via email and it's permanently stored in your Documents section for anytime access.
